KUALA LUMPUR, June 7 (Xinhua) -- The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) said on Thursday it is seeking two individuals to assist the investigation involving SRC International, a former unit of state fund 1MDB, including 37-year-old Low Taek Jho, also known as "Joh Low," a high-profile financier.

The commission also asked 47-year-old Nik Faisal Ariff Kamil Nik Othman Arif Kamil, a director of SRC International, to make contact with investigators, according to a statement.

The commission released their identity card number as well as the two's last known addresses and asked people with knowledge of their whereabouts to alert the authorities.

Joh Low is reported to have been involved in a series of 1MDB transactions, though he held no official position at the state fund. His current whereabouts are unclear.

Since taking power in a surprise election victory in May, the government led by Mahathir Mohamad has initiated new probes into 1MDB and former Prime Minister Najib Razak, who was cleared of any wrongdoing previously.

Najib has been banned from leaving the country and received two rounds of questioning over a 42 million-ringgit (10.6 million U.S. dollars) deposit into his personal bank account from from SRC International.?
