KABUL, Jan. 5 (Xinhua) -- Afghan authorities have seized 811,900 stimulant tablets and 32 kg of ICE (methamphetamine) in western Afghanistan's Nimroz province, the office of Deputy Minister of Interior for Counter-Narcotics said in a statement on Sunday.

Acting on a tip-off, counter-narcotic police found the stimulant tablets in Zaranj city, the capital of the province, and arrested a suspect in connection with the case, the statement said.

Meanwhile, police searched a vehicle in Zaranj city on Saturday, seizing 32 kg of methamphetamine and apprehending one suspect, it said. ■
