BEIJING, Aug. 27 (Xinhuanet) -- China follows the non-interference policy in Africa, a right approach for China to engage with Africa, according to an expert in a recent interview with Xinhuanet.

China is known for its infrastructure financing which supports Africa's grand projects such as Egypt's Suez Canal Corridor.

But there have been various comments about China's non-intervention in such issues as human rights and corruption.

In response, Zeng Aiping, Deputy Executive Director of China-Asian African Cooperation Centre, said China respects Africa's sovereignty and thinks that no other countries better understand Africa than the African countries.

"Our approach to Africa, I think, is more practical; it's more concrete; it's more tangible," he noted.

China has jointly established industrial parks and special economic zones in such African countries as Nigeria, Egypt, Ethiopia, Senegal, Rwanda and Uganda, he said.

And together they have achieved concrete win-win results, Zeng added.

As the "world's factory", China has a strong capacity to help Africa with the development of its manufacturing sector, he said.

Asked what African countries can learn from China's four-decade reform and opening-up, Zeng stressed it is important to have a strong leadership which guarantees formulation of proper development strategies.

He especially pointed to the importance of building special economic zones and industrial parks in the process of accelerating industrial production.

With this kind of zones, we can concentrate our resources in smaller areas to develop technologies and industries, he said.
